The “Dementia Resource Guide” was released to the public this month! A select group of individuals from Iowa’s Area Agencies on Aging, the Iowa Department on Aging and the State Director of Dementia Friendly Iowa collaborated with CHCS consultants from Washington, DC in creating the guide. The John A. Hartford Foundation and the Michigan Health Endowment Fund financed the consultants in this project. Iowa was one of seven states asked to participate!
To support the Family Caregiver Support Programs in Iowa, we decided that creating this guide could provide answers to many questions that people have when caring for someone with memory loss. Please scan the QR code or print the booklet if you are able. If you do not have that capability and would like a paper copy, we will be glad to send it to you.
If you have additional questions or are wondering about local resources, please contact one of our Family Caregiver Specialists by calling 515-255-1310.
