The Iowa Geriatric Education Center is excited to announce the launch of a new Family Involvement in Care training series for dementia caregivers. This free ten-part series covers topics such as communicating with providers, negotiating on behalf of a loved one, asking difficult questions, managing medications, and more.

It includes brief presentations and advice from other family caregivers who have experienced these issues first-hand. Although this series was designed to be used by those persons who are leading dementia support groups, it is useful to individuals who are caring for loved ones with dementia as well.
