Volunteers & Contributions

Volunteer Opportunities

Aging Resources of Central Iowa has several opportunities for you to volunteer your time and share your talents

Volunteers of all ages and abilities are needed to donate their time and talents, assisting older individuals throughout our communities in remaining independent, and in their own homes as long as possible.

There are numerous ways you can help. Some of the volunteer opportunities include indoor and outdoor work, friendly visiting, Holiday Meals-on-Wheels, Older Iowans Legislature, Senior Medicare Patrol program (formerly Operation Restore Trust) and office assistance.

For a current listing of our donation and volunteer needs, check out our Agency Wish List.

Contribution Opportunities

Aging Resources has a long-standing history of corporate partnerships that assist in the funding of service delivery for clients, supplement education and training opportunities for staff and the community at large, as well as funding services for those older persons in greatest need.

Over the years, the following organizations have partnered with Aging Resources of Central Iowa to make a real difference in the lives of our most vulnerable elders: Benevolent Patriotic Order of Does No. 25, Capitol City Street Rods, Marriott, NCMIC Insurance Company, Principal, Prudential, Robert Woods Johnson Foundation, Seagram and Telephone Pioneers.

Hy-Vee has been a corporate partner since 1987 with our Holiday Meals-on-Wheels Program and has consistently provided excellent accommodations and food for our conference and training events.

UPS Foundation In 2009 UPS donated $11,000 to enhance service delivery for those older clients in greatest need. These funds were allocated to the Aging Resources Foundation.

Today, you have the opportunity to join in our partnership program by selecting the level of sponsorship your business can afford. We guarantee 100% of your tax deductible donation goes directly to meet the needs of our older clients.

Please consider your options and if you have a corporate giving program, encourage your staff to select Aging Resources as a viable giving option.
