Iowa Rent Reimbursement Claim

Beginning Tuesday, January 17th at Aging Resources of Central Iowa, our staff will be assisting with the Iowa Rent Reimbursement Claim. The Iowa Rent Reimbursement Claim is for “Elderly or Disabled Persons”.  To apply for this program, applicant must be 65 years of age or have a disability with proof attached to their claim.

To qualify, the person must:

1.  Be an Iowa resident;

2. Be 65 or older as of 12/31/2011, or 18 years to 64 years old with a disability;

3. Have an annual household income of under $20,906;

4. Pay rent;

5. Live in a place that pays property tax.

Individuals may go to the Hoover Building, near the Capitol at 1305 E. Walnut, Des Moines or one of the many volunteer locations listed here to have this application completed. The form may also be filled it out and mailed in.

Applications need to be filed by June 1, 2012.
